What We Believe

We believe . . .

. . .

in the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16).

. . .

in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; Mark 12:29).

. . .

in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (Isaiah 7:14; Rom. 8:34; Acts 1:10,11;24:16).

. . .

that the salvation of sinners is wholly through grace. Mankind has no righteousness or goodness of his own. We must therefore come to Him who bought us and washed us in His own blood. The change that takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one; that the sinner is born again, regenerated by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 2:3; 2:8; Rom. 3:10; 10:13-15; 1 John 5:10).

. . .

the Lord’s Supper and Water Baptism by immersion are practices to be observed by the church and are not a means of salvation (Matt.28:19; Rom.6:4; 1 Cor. 11 :26,28; 2 Cor. 13:5).

. . .

in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit which enables a believer to live a holy life (Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:15,16).

. . .

in the Great Commission to preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

. . .

in the resurrection of all men and women to a final judgment; eternal blessing for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked (Matt. 25:31-46).

. . .

in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (I Cor. 12:12,13).
